Robert has been in the Information Technology industry since 1993. His first job started out as a database server administrator for a 10 person department, and through determination and willingness to work without pay on his "off hours", he was able to become one of the System Administrators of the company. His life was never the same after that.

Robert realized that there was a tremendous need for people with his skills in IT, and jumped at the opportunities presented to him. It has taken him across the country, and taken up nearly all his waking hours.

He has worked for several major companies as a System Administrator. Most notably: Microsoft, Qwest, Verizon, Compass Bank and Moneygram.

Through it all, he always maintained a good personal level of contact with the business users of the systems he managed. As the demands on his time became too great for him to remain focused on his customers - the business users, he developed methods of automation, and delegated several of his tasks so that he was once again able to become the advocate for the users against the corporate IT bureaucracy.

He started Avail Computer LLC after his job was set to move to Minnesota, and he didn't. His love for the Colorado mountains, hiking the 14ers, and 150 year family history in the Denver area kept him rooted to the spot.

He had also found an abiding passion for helping business users. His extensive knowledge of Microsoft server systems,  especially Exchange, compelled him to set out on his own as a consultant for small businesses that don't want the endless headaches of a full-time IT staff.

This venture has made him into an entirely different person in many ways. His unflappability under pressure, easygoing manner, personal focus, and willingness to explain the most vexing intricacies of the computer environment with plain language that is easy to understand, has made him a valuable asset to his clients.
